Marnely is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, where she focused her main studies in baking and pastry arts. That degree led her to a job on Martha’s Vineyard, where she now works as the AM Sous Chef for a private golf course and restaurant.
For the past five years, she’s been the author of the food blog, Cooking with Books, where she showcases fresh recipes, exciting travel adventures, and more. She’s been hired by top brands such as Sabra Hummus, Bob’s Red Mill, Cabot Cheese, Pacific Natural Foods, among others, to develop recipes on a constant basis. Recipe developing is one of her favorite activities outside of the professional restaurant kitchen.
Food is her passion, engrained in her by her upbringing in the Caribbean island of the Dominican Republic. Fresh, exciting flavors are her favorite, and she’s on an endless search for the perfect meal. As a travel writer, she discover the perfect meal everywhere she goes.
Her work has been seen in Forbes Travel Guide, Honest Cooking, Woman’s Day magazine, and she currently writes the food column for the Martha’s Vineyard Times. You can always find her on the latest social media channel, sharing her passion for food, restaurants, and recipes!
